 This kneader&single screw extruder line is mainly used for producing EVA sheet (used in automotive industry and waterproof field),PE sheet (mainly used in packaging industry and waterpoof or dampproof field),TPU sheet,PP /PC/PS sheet,EPDM sheet,TPO/POE sheet,etc.

Introduciton of the difference&development upgrade of the twin screw extruder line and the single screw extruder line :

 

Production of EVA heavy layer sheet used for automotive interior began in China in the early 1990s. The production processs was granualtion first and then used the signle screw extruder to make the sheet. Two-step production process: granualtion process and single extruder sheeting process, belonging to the first generation of the production process.

With the development and improvement production, around since the year of 2000,customers started to  use twin-screw extruder process, without needing the granulation process, it adopt direct sheeting by twin screw extruder after high speed mxier, belonging to the second generation. Althoug it reduces the granulation process, yet the twin-screw extruder process still exists  many problems and defects during the production practice. First of all, the high-speed mixer mixes the material, because the rotation speed is too fast, the dust of many materials is flying everywhere, and the environment is too dirty. Secondly, the twin-screw speed is 500RPM,because the rotating speed is too high, the friction temperature of the machine is too big,the materials are damaged by the twin-screw dispersion and plasticization to some extent. The performance of the product produced by the same formula is greatly reduced, and products can not meet the strict requirements of high-end customers, product quality can not be guaranteed.Especially, with the continuous development of automobile industry, the VOC odor level requirements of materials are getting higher and higher, and the odor VOC produced by twin-screw extruder is difficult to reach the increasing higher requirements from the automotive manufacturers.Besides, the maintenance cost of the double screw extruder is too high, and the threaded screw components and the barrels should be replaced regularly (the maintenance cost of the machine is very high,time waste and troublesome).

At present, under floor carpet,c heat insulation ,interior sound insulation, front panel, side panel for medium and high-grade vehicles at home and abroad are mainly EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer). It can block the noise and heat from the engine, so as to keep the interior quiet and comfortable. With the development of the automotive industry, the requirements for sound insulation, heat resistance, mechanical properties and odor level of sound-insulating materials are increasing. Due to such situation, the defects of the extruder have to be changed to improve product quality. In 2006, our engineers independently developed the dispersion kneader+ single-screw extruder sheeting process, which solved many problems ,belonging to the newest third generation. The rotor speed of dispersion kneader is max 40RPM, and screw speed of single screw extruder is max 68 RPM, belonging to low speed machines, so there is almost no damage to the materials,solving the problem of the product quality caused by the high speed friction temperature caused by the high scrwe speed of twin screw extruder (with speed up to 500 RPM). Due to the high speed of the twin-screw extruder, the VOC smell of the sheet produced is relatively high, and the smell of the EVA heavy layers with same formualtion produced by dispersion kneader+single screw extruder process is much smaller. Economically speaking,the dispersion kneader+single screw extruder production line is also low in the cost of the formulation,it is universal to produce different kinds of materials with different formulation, while for some materials made by the twin screw extruder line cannot meet qualified standard.The dispersion kneader is mateched with a dust collector, so the production environment has been greatly improved; finally, in the future maintenance, the twin-screw thread components shall be replaced in about 3-5 months, the barrel shall be replaced or repaired in about 8~9 months, the maintenance cost is too high, and the maintenance is very troublesome,time-taking, if your workers are not familiar and experienced with the twin screw extruder, they could not know how to change,especially for the barrel lining replacement,in China,customers send back to us,we change for them,but customers abroad far away,it is not realistic to send back,so the whole barrels needs to be replaced. Workers need to dismantle the die mold and the melt pump,and then pull out the twin screw. The dispersion kenader +single-screw extruder are low-speed equipemtn, so the annual maintenance cost is rarely small.

   The dispersion kneader+single screw extruder process is developed specially for the EVA automotive interior heavy layer sheet, it has been launched for 13 years and has been well accepted by customers,enjoying good praise among the customers.
